Happy 2nd Anniversary, Yari Tea!
We can hardly believe it’s already been two years since our journey began. It feels like just yesterday we were experimenting with different blends in our kitchens, trying to find the perfect combination of ingredients for our bottled yerba mate. But here we are, celebrating all that we’ve accomplished so far!
We owe our start to the ICUBE entrepreneurship program at the University of Toronto Mississauga, where we placed second in the pitch contest and were awarded a prize of $2000. From there, we hit the ground running and haven’t looked back since.
Since our inception, we’ve formulated and sold 8 different bottled yerba mate flavours, each one packed with energy and flavour: Lemon, Ginger Lime, Orange, Mint, Tropical Passion, Raspberry Rose, Berry Boost, and Black Cherry. But we didn't stop there! We also created 5 different blends of looseleaf yerba mate, which we package in eco-friendly bags. And we've expanded our product line with stainless steel gourds and bombilla straws, to help our customers enjoy their yerba mate in a more sustainable way.
In 2022, we tabled at 11 community markets across Ontario, meeting so many amazing customers and fellow vendors. We were thrilled to see so many of you return to our table, telling us how much you loved our products and sharing your stories of how our yerba mate helped you power through your day.
But our journey doesn't end there! In 2023 and beyond, we plan to expand our presence at local markets and festivals, all while working towards our goal of eventually selling our canned and bottled beverages in specialty health food stores and grocery stores.
